Here are the Morocco SaaS checklists to tick with your team: message, homepage and pricing, trial and activation, B2B acquisition and LinkedIn, expansion to Africa and Europe. Every unticked box becomes an action, with an owner and a date.
In Part 1, we set the framework: key figures, budget worksheet, metrics and a 90-day plan. This second part is the working tool.
1. Morocco SaaS checklists: positioning and message
- The ideal customer is described in one sentence: sector, size, decision maker's role, country.
- The problem you solve is written in your customers' words, not the tech team's.
- The message fits in one sentence: for whom, what result, how fast.
- The three main competitors or alternatives (Excel, a foreign tool, custom software) are identified.
- What sets you apart is clear: language, local support, price, integrations, compliance.
- The same message is used on the website, LinkedIn, sales decks and demos.
- Three proofs are ready: a use case, a real product figure, a customer review authorised in writing.
2. Homepage and pricing page
- The homepage headline says what the software does and for whom, in under ten words.
- There is one main button: free trial or demo, depending on your sales model.
- A screenshot or short video shows the product in action.
- A pricing page exists: prices or "starting from", or at least what each plan includes.
- Common questions on price, commitment and data security are answered.
- The site is available in French and English, and in Arabic if your markets need it.
- The site is fast on mobile and the forms work.
- Customer logos appear only with their written consent.
3. Trial, demo and activation
- Trial sign-up asks for the minimum information.
- The first "moment of value" is defined: the action that shows the customer the software helps.
- Welcome emails guide users to that first moment of value.
- Demos can be booked online, with slots that suit your customers' time zones.
- A short demo script starts from the customer's problem, not the feature list.
- Every trial that does not convert gets a follow-up and a question: what was missing?
- Trial-to-paid conversion is reviewed every week.
4. B2B acquisition and LinkedIn
- The founders' LinkedIn profiles are complete: clear headline, summary, link to the website.
- The founders post regularly: lessons learned, advice, behind the scenes of the product.
- The company LinkedIn page is up to date and posts at least once a week.
- A list of target accounts (companies and decision makers) is built and tracked in the CRM.
- Only one test campaign runs at a time, on one channel, with a clear objective.
- Each campaign is judged on demos and subscriptions, not clicks.
- In-depth content (guides, case studies) answers buyers' questions.
- Collected contacts comply with Law 09-08 in Morocco and GDPR for European prospects.
5. Expansion to Africa and Europe
- One expansion market is chosen first (French-speaking West Africa or Europe).
- Payment methods and billing currency suit that market.
- The message and examples are adapted to how that market works.
- Key pages exist in the market's language.
- Data obligations are checked: Law 09-08, GDPR for Europe, local rules.
- A local partner or a first reference customer is sought on the ground.
- Metrics are tracked separately for each market.
Frequently asked questions
Free trial or demo: which should I choose?
A free trial suits software that is easy to start with; a demo suits software that needs onboarding or targets large accounts. Many companies offer both, with one main button per page.
Should I show my prices?
Showing at least a "starting from" price or what each plan includes reassures buyers and filters enquiries. For large accounts, pricing on quote can complement it.
Which channel should I start with?
For B2B SaaS, LinkedIn and SEO for key pages are often the first channels. Test one at a time and judge it on demos and subscriptions.
Does GDPR apply to a Moroccan startup?
As soon as you process data of people located in the European Union, GDPR may apply, in addition to Law 09-08 in Morocco. Have your forms and tools checked.
Can I mention customers on the website?
Yes, with their written consent, for logos as well as testimonials.
